Cynthia Newman leads strategic financial planning, risk management, oversight of equity and lending relationships, regulatory compliance, and auditing functions for Accelerate and its verticals, Accelerate Resources and Activate Renewables.

Ms. Newman has more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership, primarily in the upstream oil & gas industry. Prior to joining Accelerate she served as Corporate Controller for Forge Energy I and II, where she led the company’s accounting and financial functions, including risk management, metrics development and process improvement, regulatory compliance, and audit oversight. Previously she held accounting leadership roles at Tarka Resources, Endeavor International, and Enhanced Oil Resources, among others.

Ms. Newman holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
