Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources reports to Accelerate’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the oversight and daily management of all HR-related functions for Accelerate and its lines of business. This role presents a unique opportunity for a versatile HR leader to join our team to help build a best-in-class HR department from the ground up during a time of significant company growth and expansion. This role oversees a broad range of activities and will play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional employee experience at Accelerate. This individual will also help establish an environment whereby remote employees feel connected and integrated into our company values and ethos. Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level leadership and guidance for all HR operations
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to identify hiring needs and expectations, as well as implementing long-range strategic talent management goals
  • Assist company leaders in setting performance measures for their department staff that align with company objectives
  • Support Accelerate’s mission through the development, implementation, and management of a sound talent management strategy
  • Review and benchmark our current compensation structures and employee benefits to ensure competitiveness within our industry and the broader business landscape
  • Define the Accelerate employee experience and assist with developing DE&I objectives and measures

Tactical Responsibilities

  • Set, enforce, and evaluate legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Recruit for open positions and screen candidates
  • Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal/reviews, and employee incentive programs
  • Full responsibility to develop and maintain all onboarding and off-boarding processes
  • Draft and implement Accelerate’s staffing budget and the budget for the human resource department
  • Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events
  • Manage HR administration, including PEO relationship, payroll, and benefits implementation
  • Review benefits program annually and manage open enrollment
  • Coordinate employee training
  • Create and plan employee engagement activities
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7 or more years of progressively responsible human resource management experience, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent
